Navigate a Middle Eastern menu with a sampling of the most common dishes you’ll want to know in a morning bite. Partake in a Levantine-Lebanese maza spread at lunch that includes sambusa, hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel served with tahini sauce, kifta mishwiye, cheese, and olives. Walk along Atlantic Avenue to see some of the culinary newcomers to the area and end with chocolate truffles at Nunu Chocolates.</p>

<p>Register for this Fall 2023 course on the new <a href="https://nyusps.gatherlearning.com/events/wine-online-become-a-wine-connoisseur">NYU SPS Academy of Lifelong Learning website</a>.</p><br><br><br><br><p>Become the go-to wine guru for all of your friends. This course will give you a foundation for a lifetime of wine appreciation—what to look for in a glass of wine to how to describe wine, how to read labels, how to pair wine with food, and how winemaking decisions impact today’s liquid assets. The course will discuss international winemaking, from time-honored European vineyards to sassy newcomers. Grapes, local laws, wine databases, prices, the backstories of the world’s important growing regions, global warming, and catastrophes all will be discussed. Weekly comparisons of two wines will be assigned and discussed in class (not necessary to drink, just to read about). <strong>Fall 2023 tuition is $999.</strong></p><br><br><br><br><p><em><strong>Registering at least three weeks prior to the course start date is highly recommended.</strong></em></p>
