Students review and expand their knowledge of grammatical forms and structures like active and passive participles, Kaana and its sisters, and the meanings of the Arabic verb forms. They read texts on feminism, selections from Arabic literature such as <i>One Thousand and One Nights</i>, and writings by leading intellectuals in the Arab world. Students improve their listening comprehension by watching videos from the BBC Arabic service and Al-Jazeera and discuss the content in class. These activities are followed by rigorous discussions and Q&amp;A. This course focuses on topics relevant to student interests and objectives, and the aim is to help you to express yourself in Persian with more ease, improve your pronunciation, use grammar correctly, build your vocabulary, and develop more fluid conversational skills on a variety of subjects while learning more about Iranian people and culture.
