This seminar examines modern and postmodern theories and methodologies, such as, but not limited to, Marxism, feminism, and poststructuralism. The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with a broad range of critical schools and approaches relevant to upper-level course work in the liberal arts, and to do so by emphasizing the reading of primary theoretical texts. Class participation includes presentations, student-moderated discussions, and peer feedback. For specific course section descriptions, please contact your advisor.
