<p>Participants improve their English while receiving specialized professional training in finance. The Certificate is designed for international professionals who work in large corporations, at high-profile law firms, and in small businesses. They gain the fundamental finance knowledge and skills that are needed to stay current.</p><p>Upon completion of this certificate, students increase their fluency in English for professional purposes; gain an understanding of how organizations acquire, spend, and manage their finances; and strengthen their knowledge of economics, accounting, math, statistics, financial principles, and corporate finance. </p><i> This program is recommended for students with no experience or formal training in finance.</i>

<p>This Global Certificate allows international professionals who have studied or worked in finance to broaden their skill sets by delving deeper into financial analysis while improving their English. Participants gain in-depth training in assessing the viability, stability, profitability, and liquidity of private businesses, public companies, and projects.</p><p>Upon completion of this certificate, students have increased their fluency in English for professional purposes; examined the concepts and principles used in analyzing financial statements; gained an understanding of the financial structure of a corporation; learned discounted cash flow (DCF) and other valuation techniques; practiced profitability analysis, including calculation of price-earnings ratios; and used liquidity ratios, asset/productivity analysis, and capital structure/debt ratios.</p><p><i>This program is recommended for students who have formal education and/or professional experience in related finance topics.</i></p>

<p>This certificate allows students to combine English-language study with specialized, professional training in marketing. The rigorous curriculum, which is offered exclusively to students enrolled in this Global Certificate, provides intensive study and project-based learning that examine the fundamentals of marketing.</p><p>Upon completion of this certificate, students have increased their fluency in English for professional purposes; learned to develop effective marketing strategies; gained an understanding of how to successfully implement dynamic, impactful marketing campaigns; and explored multiple communication platforms for dissemination.</p>

<p>Through this introductory program, participants improve their English while developing proficiency in the practical use of design technologies for graphic production. For both print and mobile design, it is necessary to develop an understanding of rudimentary principles such as image manipulation, output, and production. This program&#8212;a joint offering of ALI and the NYU-SCPS Center for Advanced Digital Applications (CADA)&#8212;begins with multidisciplinary courses that allow students to develop a strong foundation in technical basics, such as color systems and software applications.</p><p>Upon completion of this certificate program, students have increased their fluency in English for professional purposes, gained a thorough understanding of color systems for print and/or iPad, developed proficiency in industry-standard software applications, attained knowledge of applicable technical standards for working in either print or mobile design, and acquired basic competency in applicable technologies.</p>

<p>Participants pursuing this Global Certificate nurture and develop their artistic talents and explore the world of animation, while also improving their English-language proficiency. This program&#8212;a joint offering of ALI and the NYU-SCPS Center for Advanced Digital Applications (CADA)&#8212;focuses on character animation and provides the opportunity to explore the skills utilized within a variety of industries, including film, television, and entertainment media. Students acquire the specific tools and the knowledge base needed to create lively, animated characters, which they then apply to complete a short, individual project.</p><p>Upon completion of this certificate program, students have increased their fluency in English for professional purposes; gained knowledge of the fundamentals of digital animation; acquired the ability to create 3D models; cultivated the skills needed to tell a story visually, or to create visuals from text or verbal concepts; developed an understanding of the various industries that use animation; and built a foundation for portfolio development.</p>

<p>Students learn the fundamentals of all aspects of digital filmmaking and improve their English in this Global Certificate program offered by ALI and the NYU-SCPS Center for Advanced Digital Applications (CADA). Participants develop their artistic talents and explore the continuously evolving field of animation, while creating a film from initial concept to final cut. They benefit from rigorous, hands-on training in cinematography, nonlinear editing, and audio recording. Additional topics covered include title design, graphics, and effects. This certificate teaches the skills necessary to take a project from preproduction to the screen&#8212;from the aesthetic and theoretical to the technical. Industry professionals impart guidance throughout the process, which students then apply to a narrative project.</p><p>Upon completion of this certificate, students have increased their fluency in English for professional purposes, learned about industry craft and practices, gained a strong understanding of cinematography, acquired basic audio-recording skills, explored and implemented editing techniques, developed a graphic style and the technical knowledge to make it come to life, and obtained a fundamental background in producing and directing.</p>

<p>Participants in this Global Certificate combine English-language study through ALI with specialized, professional training offered through the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate, one of the largest and most prestigious educational entities dedicated to the real estate and construction industries in the United States. The intensive curriculum&#8212;offered exclusively to students enrolled in this certificate program&#8212;provides a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the real estate development process. Students learn about the phases, issues, and complexities that come into play in the development of real estate&#8212;from inception to disposition.</p><p>Upon completion of this certificate, students have increased their fluency in English for professional purposes; learned to identify the phases of real estate development; gained an understanding of how to apply market analysis and site selection techniques to a project; obtained the skills needed to analyze the legal and regulatory environment of a project; developed the knowledge to identify available entitlements and public-private partnership opportunities; acquired the ability to conduct project development feasibility, budget, and finance studies; and earned to identify options and to apply planning, design, and construction management techniques to projects.</p>

This intensive certificate provides a solid understanding of how commercial real estate investment deals are financed, structured, and executed.</p><p>Upon completion of this certificate program, students have increased their fluency in English for professional purposes; developed an understanding of the calculations and measurements employed in quantitative real estate investment and income property analysis; gained insight into real estate financial analysis; learned about sources of capital, financing structures, and mortgage instruments; acquired a working knowledge of valuation methodology and underwriting techniques; and obtained a fundamental understanding of how to compare real estate investment deal structures.</p>

<p>This certificate is designed for students who are interested in learning the essential skills necessary to work in the art business, while also improving their English-language skills. The international art market has exploded in the last 10 years, and there are opportunities worldwide for those with professional training in this area. From auction houses, art appraisal firms, online art businesses, galleries, and art fairs, to art market communication companies and other international art businesses, there is a wide range of career options to consider.
