For those who need a thorough review before taking a test prep class or advanced math like precalculus, this course provides a refresher of basic algebra. Review the rules of algebra; operations with monomials and polynomials; algebraic and graphic solutions to systems of linear equations; algebraic fractions and fractional equations; and exponents, roots, and radicals. Solve first-degree equations, inequalities, and word problems; practice graphing quadratic equations and applications; and test your mastery of ratio and proportion.

This three-week course is designed as a precursor to <i>Statistics for Management I</i>. Designed to simulate a law school course, the program introduces students to Socratic case analysis, with a particular focus on how to brief cases and study and prepare for exams. Additional topics include law journals, legal and nonlegal careers for lawyers, job search methods, and establishing realistic expectations about practicing law.
