HIND1-CE 9150 Hindi/Urdu Teacher Training Course I (0 Credits)
<p>This online/on-site program emphasizes classroom teaching strategies based on the five Cs, proficiency levels, use of target language, and the application of authentic materials. Training is conducted in both target languages and in English. During the course, create a portfolio that demonstrates understanding of the principles of learning and teaching and that includes a standards-based activity and lesson plan, daily journals, a communicative literacy activity, observation report form, and final project. Through the online component, engage in reading, watching videos, journal writing, and discussions. While on site, design activities in groups and individually, and team-teach a beginning-level lesson to high school students and to peers from another NYU program. This program is 50 hours delivered over three weeks—two weeks of online instruction and one week on site.</p>
