NYU Dentistry Student Success Network

NYU College of Dentistry is committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment for students to flourish in their academic, personal, and professional development both inside and outside the classroom.

The Office of Student Engagement coordinates the Student Success Network, which takes a proactive approach to advising, counseling, student advocacy, and academic support services for all students.

Organized around each Academic Society, the NYU Dentistry Student Success Network connects every dental student with a comprehensive network of students, faculty, and staff who provide individualized, one-on-one guidance and personalized support from the moment they enter at New Student Orientation through the entire four years of dental school. Each Academic Society has their own Student Success Network consisting of a designated Academic Advisor, Senior Mentor, and Peer Assessment Facilitator, as well as a set of dental student Peer Mentors and Peer Tutors who work closely with students and each other to promote and support student success.

A dedicated, proactive Student Success Network for each Academic Society helps to create a cohesive community and ensures that each student has numerous points of contact for exploring and accessing resources and opportunities.
