SUST1-UC 2000  Environmental Activism in Global Perspective  (2-4 Credits)  
This course explores the key phases in the development of the modern environmental movement in the U.S. from the 1960’s to the present. We begin with Rachel Carson, the pioneer of this movement and conclude with current, global campaigns to address climate change. Topics include: grassroots environmental campaigns, the first Earth Day in 1970, government regulations to protect the environment, and climate change and human rights.

SUST1-UC 2205  Current Sustainability Issues:  (2 Credits)  
The specific theme of Current Sustainability Issues will change each time it is offered in order to provide students with an opportunity to focus on current issues related to Sustainability. Students will be able to take the course twice with a different subtitle for a total of 4 units.

SUST1-UC 7990  Special Topics in Sustainability  (2-4 Credits)  
This course offers intensive study of specific topics in Sustainability, focusing on different themes each semester. The same Special Topics course can only be offered twice.
