Veterans Benefits

NYU is committed to providing a supportive environment for veterans to pursue their academic and personal goals, explore learning experiences, and be involved in campus life.  

As of March 1, 2013, NYU is a participant of the Department of Defense (DOD) Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

There are several types of education benefits that can be used at NYU by veterans, current service members, and their dependents. Some are federally administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and others are administered by the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation. Benefit programs have various eligibility requirements and provide different forms of assistance.

At NYU, most VA Certifying Officials (SCO) are in the Office of the University Registrar. The School of Medicine and the Graduate Division of the Stern School of Business have their own Certifying Officials.
