Tuition and Fees

MSW Program

NYU Silver School of Social Work charges students per enrolled credit/point each semester. Students will only be billed for the courses in which they are enrolled. Wait-listed courses will not be counted until the student is officially enrolled in the course. Students are advised to check their Bursar account in Albert once the official bill is released, to understand all charges for the upcoming semester.

Please visit the website of the NYU Office of the Bursar for the most up-to-date information on payment options, payment plans, and payment due dates, as well as for total costs depending on your individual credit load per semester.

Estimated Indirect Expenses

Direct Expenses are institutional charges billed to you by New York University via the Office of the Bursar.

Indirect Expenses are estimates of costs that may be associated with your attendance, but are not typically University charges.

The budget shown in Albert listed as "Cost of Attendance" approximates your indirect expenses for the academic year and includes an allowance for room and board (which varies according to where you live); a standard amount for books, supplies, and personal expenses; and a transportation allowance. Typical budgets are presented here to help you understand how your cost of education was determined.

2023-2024 Traditional Program - 9 Months (Fall/Spring) Indirect Expenses

Books and Supplies $818
Transportation $1,154
Miscellaneous Expenses $3,872
