Cost of Attendance
NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine is committed to improving the affordability of medical education through a transformational financial aid program. All current and entering students are automatically awarded a Full-Tuition Scholarship to the MD degree program regardless of need or merit. Upon enrollment, a tuition charge appears on students' bill along with a credit for the Full-Tuition Scholarship that offsets this charge.
NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine also offers need-based Debt-Free Scholarships to students who financially qualify, to help pay for the costs of attendance that exceed tuition such as housing, food, books, and other miscellaneous expenses. Students must apply for this need-based scholarship annually, as personal and family financial circumstances may change year to year. To be considered for a Debt-Free Scholarship, students are required to submit financial information about themselves, parents, and spouse (if applicable) on the CSS Profile. NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine uses the CSS Profile calculations to determine the annual estimated family contribution (EFC) and will meet any shortfall between the annual EFC amount and the remaining costs of attendance that exceed tuition with a need-based Debt-Free Scholarship.
For those students who may not financially qualify for a need-based Debt-Free Scholarship, NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine is able to offer federal loans to eligible students upon submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and uphold professionalism standards while in medical school in order to maintain eligibility to receive Full-Tuition and Debt-Free scholarships.
