The Public Health minor introduces students to population health issues, causes of poor health outcomes, and strategies to promote and protect health globally and domestically. Students will explore health promotion, disease prevention, epidemiology, and more. This minor prepares students for careers in health professions, social work, business, law, psychology, and other fields.
Students may apply for a minor through NYU Albert using the link in the Academics section to be reviewed by the student's home school. If the minor is approved, it will appear on your transcript.
For questions about the Public Health minor, contact Jennifer Zapata, Program Administrator - Undergraduate Advising, at jennifer.zapata@nyu.edu.

Double-Counting Courses
In some cases, courses may be applicable to both major and minor requirements. For the Public Health Minor elective requirements only, we honor the double-counting policy stated by a student's home school. It is also the student's responsibility to ensure they are meeting the credit minimum in order to graduate with declared degrees (major/minor). Students are encouraged to email their home school advisor to ensure the courses will double count so we can do the same.
