Aerospace Engineering (Minor)

Program Description

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering offers a minor in Aerospace Engineering that consists of the following five courses, totaling 15 credits, which provide students with the foundation needed to pursue a career in the aerospace industry or graduate studies in the field.

Applying for the Minor

Apply for a minor in Albert using the link in the My Academics section of the Student Center.

Students should apply for the minor before applying for graduation. After applying for the minor, the application is then forwarded to the Home School Advising Office, Host School Advising Office, Host School Department/Program, and the Academic Dean’s office.

The departmental advisers governing the minor will have access to approve or disapprove the minor online using the Graduation Tracking Search page. If a student is registered for a course for the minor during their last semester, the adviser can still set the status to departmental approved pending current courses.

Note: Students pursuing the Mechanical Engineering BS degree may complete the Aerospace Engineering Minor by taking the four AE designated courses in place of two STEM² and two Free Electives available in the program. See Mechanical Engineering (BS) for more details.

Policies 

GPA Requirement

Students must obtain an overall 2.00 GPA in all minor courses in order for the minor to be awarded.
