Blending technological skill with theoretical and historical perspectives on the fields, this undergraduate minor provides students with a secondary interest in digital art and design the knowledge and skills to conceive and create digitally based art and design work.
The minor in Digital Art and Design is a 16-credit program that provides students from across the University with technical training, as well as visual communication and digital fabrication skills, along with enhanced creative thinking and critical problem-solving abilities.

Program Requirements
The studio art minor requires 16 credits, selected from the courses listed below.
Topics for ART-UE 1421 Design Studio for Non-Majors vary each semester and may include animation, motion graphics, book arts, branding, and site-specific design. If a student takes this course a second time as an elective, the topic just be different from the previous Design Studio course.

Students may apply for the minor through Albert; no portfolio review is required.
Students must complete all required courses outlined in the minor curriculum.
External transfer credits are not accepted to fulfill minor requirements.
GPA Minimums
A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required. This includes all courses approved for use in the minor subject area, regardless of grade.
Pass/Fail Policy
Courses with grades below D will not count towards the minor. Courses completed with the pass/fail option will not be accepted for the minor.
