Program Description

The minor in East Asian civilization offers students a comprehensive undergraduate program focusing on the diverse forms of cultural production and social practices of China, Japan, and Korea. The curriculum emphasizes multi- and cross-disciplinary approaches to the study of documents, practices, texts, and their regional and global interconnections. Students undertake in-depth study of East Asian civilization through upper-level thematic seminars.

Minor Declaration

To request declaration of a minor, CAS students should visit the host department. To request declaration of a cross-school minor, CAS students should complete the online Minor Application available in their Albert Student Center. Students may also use the Minor Application in Albert to request cancellation of a CAS or cross-school minor.
