Tuition and Financial Aid
This section of the College of Arts and Science Bulletin links to important University websites that students must consult for information, policies, and procedures.
Tuition
For the schedule of tuition (for both full- and part-time study) established by the Board of Trustees of New York University for the current academic year, please see Bills, Payments, and Refunds. The Office of the Bursar provides further information for students that includes but is not limited to:
- Billing and payment processes and deadlines
- Payment plans
- Tuition insurance
- Refunds
In addition, students should consult the Health and Wellness website of the Student Health Center for details on the University’s health insurance plans.
Withdrawal and Refund of Tuition
A student who, for any reason, finds it impossible to complete one or more courses must first consult with a College of Arts and Science academic adviser.
The University has specific procedures, policies, and deadlines governing course withdrawals (whether full or partial). See Dropping Classes/Semester Withdrawal for more information.
Exceptions to the University Registrar’s published refund schedule may be appealed by submitting a petition to the Refund Committee in the College Advising Center (726 Broadway, 7th Floor; 212-998-8130). Petitions must be submitted with supporting documentation that outline the circumstances that warrant consideration of an exception.
Financial Aid
Please see Financial Aid and Scholarships for full details on eligibility, appeals, deadlines, an overview of all available forms of aid, and other information.
