The program is currently registered as awarding the Mus.B. degree. However, the University’s website identifies the award as the B.M. degree. Sections 3.47 and 3.50 of the Rules of the Board of Regents identify both Mus.B. and B.M. as abbreviations for the "Bachelor of Music"; however, Section 53.3(d)(1) of Commissioner's Regulations indicates that the institution's catalog/website should accurately reflect the IRP. Does the University wish to change the degree award on the IRP to the B.M. or will the University be updating the institution’s website and catalog to reflect the award in the IRP, the Mus.B. degree?
If the University wishes to change the degree award to a B.M for SED 85001, does the University also want to process this change for some or all of the other currently registered Mus.B. programs at the institution? If this change is to be made to multiple Mus.B. programs, please submit a chart with the program code, degree award, and title and the requested change to the new degree award. If there are no other program changes besides the degree award, the Department will waive the required change form, in this instance. However, if more changes have been made to the program besides the degree award, please submit the change form for the individual programs separately. According to the registry there are 17 MusB degrees
