07/19/2023	07/19/2023: JS provides Lindsay with initial round of feedback: Syllabi Review: Foundations of LGBTQ+ Affirmative Counseling: this syllabus states that “there will be about 1 hour of asynchronous material to complete and about 1 hour and 30 minutes of live session time every week.” Please confirm total hours of instructional time so that we can ensure credit integrity is met. All other syllabi are missing authors of the syllabi, as well as information on credit integrity: it’s vital that there is explicit language around how the course will meet instructional time requirements based on number of credits. We will be ready to send the proposal to NYSED once the few edits are made and we receive revised syllabi. Alternatively, if you anticipate editing the syllabi to be a lengthy process, we can send with the course descriptions alone - syllabi may be requested by NYSED, in which case we should be prepared to submit. Graduate Program Curricular Requirements Form: there are a few inconsistencies between documents: The course Adolescent Sexual Health and Healthy Relationships is listed as 3 credits here, but 2 credits in the Course Descriptions document - please confirm. This course is also listed as “not revised” here, but “modified” in the Course Descriptions - please confirm.
07/19/2023	Joyce responds: 1. Syllabi. I will work with the faculty on revising the syllabi with authors and explicit instructional time. This shouldn't take long. 2. In regards to the course Adolescent Sexual Health and Healthy Relationships: Confirming this course is 3 credits. As for the discrepancy between modified vs not revised - the course title is being updated (hence listing it under Modified on the Course Descriptions List) but the content is not changing (hence indicating Not Revised on the Graduate Program Curricular Requirements). What is the best way to handle this scenario? We appreciate your guidance. Once I have a better understanding of how to proceed, I will correct the appropriate document(s) and resubmit them to you.
