Titilayo Weech (titilayo) (Fri, 19 Aug 2022 16:21:46 GMT): Rollback: NYSED Feedback: After review we have determined that this program does not meet our standards for a master’s level engineering program and include a minimum of 21 credits of engineering coursework, therefore it cannot award the ME degree nor can it use the HEGIS code of 0999.00. While this program may have been originally registered with the ME award and the 0999.00 HEGIS, if we had received this as a new proposal today, we would have worked with NYU on an alternative award and HEGIS code. Sine the content has significantly changed and “engineering” is being dropped from the program title, we suggest an award change to the MS degree and the use of HEGIS codes such as 0701.00 Computer and Information Sciences, General, 0702.00 Information Sciences and Systems, or 0799.00 Computer and Information Systems, Other. Only engineering programs may offer tracks with engineering in the title, this program could not include a track titled “Software Engineering”.
